September 1, 2026– Applications for submissions open.

October 15, 2026– All digital submissions must be delivered, emailed, or postmarked by this date.
November 30, 2026– By this date, artists will receive confirmation of the status of their submissions.
First Week in January 2027– Original artworks that are selected for the exhibition must be delivered to the Center for the Arts. (Specific drop-off dates and times will be in the acceptance letters.)
January 29,  2027 – The Grand Opening of the Community Arts Challenge Exhibition will take place in the evening.
Mid Jan through February TBD, 2027 – Exhibit of all the accepted artworks and written works will be open to the public.
March 2027 - Prize winning visual-art entries will be exhibited at the Cortland Free Library.
